10.32. Gawk-3.1.6

The Gawk package contains programs for manipulating text files.

10.32.1. Installation of Gawk

Prepare Gawk for compilation:

./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib

Now fix an issue that will cause the Gettext testsuite to fail:

echo '#define HAVE_LC_MESSAGES 1' >> config.h

Compile the package:

make

To test the results, issue: make check.

Install the package:

make install
